Clare Higgins Morton

World Affairs Council of Atlanta
Clare Higgins Morton joined the council at its inception in 2010 and oversees the organization’s finances, membership and marketing efforts, board relations, and Academic WorldQuest competition for high school students. In 2014, she joined the World Affairs Councils of America’s leadership mission to China, meeting with Chinese government officials, business leaders, and scholars on issues of concern to World Affairs Council members and leaders.
Ms. Morton led the publications division of the Southern Center for International Studies for nearly a decade. She served as the project editor for numerous books in the World in Transition series, including Europe in Transition and South Asia in Transition. Working closely with the U.S. Air Force, she produced custom versions of the World in Transition materials for military personnel and the U.S. Air Force JROTC program. Ms. Morton started her career in publications in 1995 at The World & I magazine on the business side where she coordinated subscriber communications and promotion of the magazine in addition to writing and editing marketing copy.
