Innovating Together: India-U.S. Scientific Collaborations Explored

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta in August partnered with the Atlanta chapter of the American India Foundation for a discussion on how scientists and researchers from both countries work together to drive innovation. Dr. Tayal focused heavily on the mission of the organization, its sources of funding and its achievements during his talk, but during the question-and-answer session it delved more into a discussion of the strengths and deficiencies of India’s innovation ecosystem.

The World Affairs Council held a program about “National Sovereignty vs. International Human Rights” featuring Judge Navanethem Pillay, former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and a former International Criminal Court Judge.

World Affairs Council hosted a unique cooking class with Robin Ha, author of Cook Korean! A cookbook full of cute comics and illustrations provided as guidance for the reader. The night was a fun way of being immersed in Korean culture and ended with a book signing.

Atlanta Young Leaders Head to China With Open Minds

A select group of up-and-coming business professionals in their 20s and 30s will soon embark on a join program between the World Affairs Council and Georgia State University Confucius Institute. They will participate in the Confucius China Studies Program concentrating on topics of innovation and entrepreneurship.
